Is There a Roblox Code for Free Robux? No. Here's How to Spot the Scams

No. No game code, promo code or "generator" gives free Robux. Roblox's own help page says there are no free Robux offers, tricks or codes, and that any offer of free Robux is a scam. The codes on this site give in-game rewards like cash, boosts and skins, and you never need your password to use them.
Why no code can give you Robux
Robux is Roblox's own currency. Roblox's Ways to Get Robux page says Robux are bought from Roblox with real money or earned as a creator. The same page says there is no such thing as a Robux generator.
Game codes can't get around this. Roblox's rules for game creators say a code's reward can only be used inside that one game and can't be worth Robux or real money. So a Taxi Boss code can give you Taxi Boss cash, but never Robux.
Roblox's own promo codes come from its events and giveaways and are for virtual items. The codes on Roblox gift cards do add Robux or credit, but someone paid real money for each card.
Roblox also warns that if you follow a scam's advice and falsely claim you made a purchase to get free Robux, you are breaking its rules and your account could be deleted.
Where Robux really come from
These are the ways listed in Roblox's help pages as of September 2026:
- Buying Robux in the Roblox app, on the website, or on PlayStation and Xbox.
- Gift cards, redeemed at roblox.com/redeem in a web browser. The standard mobile app and consoles can't redeem them (Roblox's gift card help).
- A Roblox Plus bundle. Roblox Plus launched on April 30, 2026, and Premium stopped being sold the same day. Plain Roblox Plus has no monthly Robux, but the paid Plus 500, Plus 1000 and Plus 2000 bundles add that many Robux every month. People who still have Premium keep their monthly Robux.
- Earning as a creator, by making a game or selling avatar items.
- A gift from someone you know. A Roblox Plus subscriber can send Robux to another player. Both players have to pass age checks, and younger players need a parent to approve every transfer.
Every one of these takes real money or real work. Roblox also tells players to get a parent or guardian's permission before buying anything.
How the common free Robux scams work
They look different, but Roblox says they are all after the same thing: your password or personal details, so they can take your account and all the Robux and items on it.
Robux generator sites
The site asks for your username. Then it says you have to "verify you're human" first, by doing a survey, downloading something or logging in. No Robux ever arrive. Roblox says sharing your login and filling out online surveys are the most common ways players lose their accounts.
Fake giveaways
These show up on YouTube, TikTok, Discord and in messages, promising thousands of Robux to whoever clicks a link. The link leads to a page that asks for your login. Real Roblox promotions are announced on the official Roblox blog, in your Roblox notifications, or with a banner on the Roblox website. Roblox also says it will never ask you to send Robux to another player to verify your account.
Fake Roblox staff and admins
Someone says they work for Roblox and asks for your password, for example to give you a prize. Real staff have the Roblox Admin icon next to their display name, and they never ask for your password. If someone says they are staff and doesn't have the icon, report them.
Fake login pages and in-game forms
A website or a game shows a screen that looks like the Roblox login, sometimes "to claim your reward." Only type your password on roblox.com or in the official Roblox app. If a game asks for your login, leave it and report it.
Downloads, extensions and screen sharing
Some scams want you to install a "Robux generator" program or a browser extension. Downloads like these can carry malware that steals passwords, and Roblox doesn't make any browser extensions. Never give anyone your browser cookies, 2-Step Verification codes or backup codes, and don't share your screen while you log in.
Red flags
- It promises free Robux, a free subscription like Roblox Plus, or free valuable items.
- It asks for your password, a 2-Step Verification code, backup codes or cookies.
- It wants you to log in anywhere other than roblox.com or the Roblox app.
- It says you must do a survey, "human verification" or a download first.
- It asks you to send Robux or items before you get anything.
- Someone says they're Roblox staff but has no Admin icon.
- The link has spaces or odd characters in it, or tells you to "remove the space" to visit it.
- It rushes you with a time limit, or says you'll lose out if you don't act now.
If you typed your password somewhere
Do these steps as soon as you can:
- Change your Roblox password now on roblox.com or in the app. Pick one you don't use anywhere else (how to change it).
- Turn on 2-Step Verification in Settings, then Security. You need a verified email first, and Roblox recommends the authenticator app option (2-Step Verification help).
- Change that password on any other account where you used the same one.
- Remove anything the scam made you download, including browser extensions, and run a virus scan.
- Report it. Use Report Abuse on the game, player or message that sent you there. If it was a video or post on another site, report it there too.
- Tell a parent or guardian, especially if a card or other payment method is saved on the account.
If you can't log in anymore, follow Roblox's hacked account steps and contact Roblox Support. If Robux or items were taken, Roblox asks you to contact it within 30 days, and it doesn't guarantee it can get them back.
What real codes give instead
Real game codes come from the game's developers. You type them into a code box inside the game itself, and you never enter your password. I get the codes on this site from each game's own Roblox page and developer posts, and I approve each one by hand. The full process is on How I check codes.

This site will never ask for your Roblox password or send you to a "verification" page to get a code. If a codes page ever does, leave it.
